Job Title: Finance Assistant (Accounts)

Location: St Andrews Drive, Durban North, 4051, KZN, South Africa

Job Type: Full Time in Office, Monday to Friday

Start Date: 01 August 2025

Salary: ZAR12 000 - ZAR15 000 pm (experience dependant)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve any outstanding queries Reconcile customer accounts and support credit control activities Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses Manage the accounts payable ledger: prepare payment runs and maintain accurate records Manage the accounts receivable ledger: issue invoices, track receipts, and follow up on overdue accounts Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors and customers) to resolve account-related issues Support audit processes Assist with ad hoc finance tasks and reporting as directed by the Finance Manager

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Matric 3 Years Finance Working Experience (Accounts Assistant or finance role) Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles Experience with management accounts and account reconciliations Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel Finance qualification advantageous

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, Strong organizational and time-management skills, Ability to work independently and as part of a team, Ability to communicate effectively in English. Reliable and accountable. Ability to work in fast paced environment and be part of a dynamic team.
