To accurately capture and reconcile financial information for upload into the financial system, while providing support to Bookkeepers and in-country Finance teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accurate and timely recording of accounting information
? Receive coded bank statements from the countries
? Compare previous month closing balance to the new month opening balance on the bank statement
? Import Bank statements into the financial system
? Send all queries to the in Country Finance team
2. Reconciliations of accounts
? Ensure monthly reconciliations are completed for Commercial, Assets, Accounts Payable, Cashbook Analysis and Sales
? Ensure that all reconciliations balance
? Ensure that all information is processed in time
? Follow up on discrepancies and escalate unresolved discrepancies
3. Stock journals
? Receive weekly shipment advice from Supply Chain
? Prepare the shipment advice for uploading as a journal on SAP
? Submit journal for approval
4. Asset Administration
? Pull GL accounts to check if any assets were captured by the in country Finance Team
? Obtain budget codes from the Country Finance Teams
? Import Assets into Norming (Asset system in Accpac) or Capture Assets in SAGE 200
? Assist with Capex requests on the Capex APP
5. Insurance administration and renewals
? Receive, monitor and assist with claims for all countries
? Liaising between our country team and SA brokers regarding any and all claims
? Collate renewal information from all countries & relevant departments for renewal
? Summarise information for each and country in order to facilitate declaration process
6. Ad hoc duties
? Participate in ad hoc Finance duties as and when required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
? National Diploma in Accounting
? 3+ years relevant experience in a Finance role
? Retail industry experience will be advantageous
? Knowledge of Accounting systems
? Aptitude for numbers
? Computer literacy - Intermediate
? South African Citizen
