About the Role
This is a hands-on finance leadership role at a South African manufacturing site, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers and the operation. Youll take ownership of the full finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and meaningful reporting that supports day-to-day decision-making.
Youll lead a small, experienced finance team (including payroll and on-site IT), working closely with operations to keep systems, controls, and processes running smoothly.
What Youll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting the finance team with a practical, people-focused approach
- Owning month-end reporting, reconciliations, and trial balances
- Managing standard costing, variance analysis, and profit plan vs actual reporting
- Overseeing cash flow, debtors, and creditors
- Ensuring payroll runs smoothly and statutory submissions are accurate and on time
- Liaising with SARS and managing the annual audit
- Overseeing SAP, finance systems, and the sites IT function
- BCom in Finance with completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- 5+ years post-articles experience in manufacturing or FMCG
- Experience leading a finance team in a site-based environment
- Strong SAP and Excel skills
- Comfortable with end-to-end finance, compliance, payroll oversight, and systems
