Auto-Electrician (Mining Site)

Job Summary:

The Auto-Electrician will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, attending to breakdowns and maintenance of PAISA CPS systems on mining vehicles. This role requires diagnosing system faults, ensuring optimal system performance, and attending to breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning: Install and commission Nerospec systems on various mining vehicles. Ensure installations comply with safety and operational standards. Conduct system tests to verify correct functionality before handover. Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and system checks to ensure optimal functionality. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults in mining machinery. Repair or replace faulty components and wiring as needed. Calibrate and update firmware on Nerospec systems where applicable. Breakdown Response: Attend to urgent equipment breakdowns on-site. Identify root causes and implement timely solutions. Work closely with the site team to minimize downtime and restore operations quickly. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all mine site safety regulations and company policies. Ensure proper use of tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe working environment. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs. Provide detailed service reports and recommendations for continuous improvement. Communicate with management regarding system performance and any operational challenges.
Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with mining operators, engineers, and other technical staff. Provide technical support and training to on-site personnel when required. Ensure clear communication with supervisors regarding job progress and completion.

Qualifications & Experience

Trade Certificate as an Auto-Electrician. Drivers License code 8 minimum Candidates qualified as Electricians will only be considered if they have a minimum of four years' experience working on mining vehicle electronic systems. Minimum of 3 years of experience working on mining vehicles electronic systems. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills in auto-electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Computer Literacy, MS Word and Excel Knowledge of mine safety regulations and procedures.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work in a mining site environment, including exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery. Physically demanding role requiring standing, bending, and lifting heavy components. Must be medically fit to work on a mining site as per legal requirements. Willingness to travel
