JOB DESCRIPTION The Field Services Technician is responsible for the following: AREA / TYPE Responsibilities The off-load of MEWP Equipment 1. Planning daily travel schedule 2. Investigating complaints, conducting tests and resolving general maintenance tasks 3. Off-load machine, perform PDI (Post Delivery Inspection) together with the customers and record any damages and/or snags, including proper mine spec's Training 1. Provide Certification to operators upon successful completing of MEWP Operators Training 2. Complete a full Functional test whilst training any appointed operator PDI, Maintenance and Repairs 1. Maintain MEWP equipment operational by completing regular inspections and functional procedures as defined from time to time and complete preventive maintenance tasks, correcting equipment deficiencies, making adjustments and alignments, check and maintain mine spec requirements if required 2. Determine equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts and reporting as may be required 3. Keeps equipment available for use by monitoring and completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing components, parts, oil, water and upgrades when required and control corrosion 4. Verify equipment performance by conducting predefined functional tests, adjusting controls and systems 5. Keep record of completed jobs. Conform with MEWP standards and equipment requirements by ensuring up-to-date documentation are available upon request - services and safety stickers/decals, on-board documentation, documentation regarding engine services, hydraulic services, load test, load test inspections and mine specific documentation as well as site specific documentation 6. Keep operational tools and spares for, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance and for calling-in repairs 7. Standby and call-out as and when required Stock take and Vehicle stock 1. Monthly vehicle stock-take 2. Keep standard stock quantities in vehicle 3. Place required stock orders, verify receipt and track backorders 7. SKILLS REQUIRED xe2x80x93 SPECIFIC 7.1 SKILLS KPA Skill PDI, Maintenance and Repairs 1. Technical minded as well as Customer services orientated with a recognised technical qualification, preferably a red seal millwright 2. Knowledge of MEWP equipment regarding operations, functions, technical functions, parts and tools including a comprehensive understanding of hydraulics, engine mechanics, electrical, electronics and technical schematics. 3. Clear understanding of safety management and risk assessment 4. Mechanical, hydraulic, electric and electronic tooling knowledge 5.
