Job Description
Our client in the manufacturing sector, has an EE opportunity available for a Field Service Mechanic (Mobile Cranes Mechanic).
Requirements:
- Matriculation Certificate or N3
- Valid Driverxe2x80x99s licence
- Formal SAQA accredited qualification as a diesel mechanic
- 5 years exposure and proven track record working on mobile cranes and trucks
- Proven track record in fault finding and repairs on mobile cranes and trucks
- Engine repairs
- Gearbox repairs
- Hydraulic repairs
- Undertake vehicle inspections and checks
- Diagnose and fault finding as per the job card instructions
- Identify parts to be replaced and/or repaired
- Submit parts and consumables requisition to supervisor
- Fix and fit parts and consumables as required
- Ensure that work quality is consistent with prescribed
- Conform with the departments job card procedure i.e. labour, kilometres, travelling, buy-outs, stores issues or sundries processing
