Job SummaryA leading manufacturer of high-precision instruments and laboratory equipment for chemical analysis has a vacancy for a Field Service Technician, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. If you are passionate about technology, customer service, and problem-solving, this exciting role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with clients, troubleshoot and repair advanced analytical equipment, and play a key role in the company's continued success. Requirements include a Tertiary qualification in Instrumentation, Electronics, Chemistry, or a related field and a Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Field Service Technician.Requirements:

  • NDip (N6/N4) in Instrumentation/Electronics/Chemistry.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in field service, particularly in servicing analytical instruments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics CE is a plus).
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for business use.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Clear criminal record and medically fit.
Duties:
  • Repair, and maintain analytical equipment at client locations.
  • Provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Accurately document service activities, keeping service records up-to-date.
  • Travel across various regions to provide service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and manage service-related quotations and follow-ups.
  • Update customer information and service records in Microsoft Dynamics CE.
