Job Description

Our High school seeks a dedicated FET phase educator to cultivate a supportive learning environment where students are guided and motivated to reach their full academic potential and transition successfully beyond graduation. Such educator will be expected to:

Provide future-oriented instruction that ignites student motivation, inspiration, and intellectual curiosity. Act as role models, consistently demonstrating strong moral principles, ethical conduct, and professional standards. Foster and maintain meaningful partnerships with colleagues, parents, guardians, and community members. Engage in positive, respectful, and transparent communication and collaboration with all members of the school community.

The responsibilities of this position encompass:

Academic Delivery, Academic Assessment & Reporting, Student Behaviour Management, acting as a School Brand Ambassador, Administrative tasks, and ensuring Health & Safety.

To implement a progressive educational approach that motivates, inspires, and challenges students to think critically and engage with the future. To consistently uphold the highest standards of character, integrity, and professional conduct. To build and sustain productive, ongoing relationships with colleagues, parents, guardians, and community stakeholders. A relevant degree at NQF level 7 and a PGCE or B.Ed. (FET) with a specialization in the required teaching subject(s).Current SACE registration and a satisfactory police clearance. Strong digital literacy and the ability to effectively integrate technology into teaching. The capacity to set clear, ambitious learning goals for students. An adaptable and reflective teaching practice that utilizes feedback to improve student learning. A deep and thorough understanding of the relevant subject content. The ability to accurately assess student learning and adjust teaching strategies. Exceptional organizational and planning skills. Experience in assessing student performance and providing meaningful feedback. A genuine dedication to the holistic well-being and academic success of students. Documented experience teaching the subject, preferably at FET level. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with students in the FET phase of schooling. Familiarity with and experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum. Prior experience in a high-achieving international school setting. A university degree in a relevant field. Certified Teaching Status/SACE registration. Valid work authorization in South Africa.
