Responsibilities:
People Management: Lead the production team, maintain positive working relationships, ensure proper structure and staff skills, and drive employee performance
Strategic Planning: Set and implement short- and long-term departmental goals aligned with company strategy
Skills Development: Ensure continuous development of subordinates based on business needs
Health & Safety: Maintain clean, safe, and hazard-free work areas; enforce OHS compliance; report hazards and ensure permits for high-risk operations are completed
Quality & Food Safety: Ensure compliance with policies, prevent and control contaminants, maintain cleaning and pest control programs, uphold traceability processes, and improve the Food Safety Management System
Brand Management: Project the desired brand image internally and externally
Production Oversight: Monitor feed production processes, meet production targets, ensure product quality, manage the pelleting process, oversee bagging and scanning operations, and implement process improvements
Maintenance: Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance with the maintenance team
General: Perform additional tasks assigned by management, support colleagues, and uphold the companys vision, mission, and core values
