Minimum of a National Diploma in Agriculture with focus on Horticulture, Pomology, or Crop Production
Preferred qualification: BSc Agriculture or BTech Agriculture with specialisation in fruit production, irrigation management, or plant protection
Additional short courses in farm business management, financial management, labour relations, or health and safety will be advantageous
Proven experience in fruit farming with specific exposure to apples and pears (pome fruit)
In-depth knowledge of modern orchard practices including irrigation, crop protection and pruning systems
Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and control costs
Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to supervise, motivate and develop teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
Effective verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English
Self-driven and able to work independently while taking initiative
Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic agricultural environment
Computer literacy in farm management systems and MS Office
Valid driver's license and willingness to reside on the farm
Commitment to the long-term success and sustainable growth of the farming operation
