Key outputs
Safety:

• Serve as the facility Emergency Response Coordinator

• Attend the Health and Safety Committee meetings

Building Management:

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds and facilities systems

• Maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws

• Respond to reactive maintenance issues timeously

• Ensure the effective maintenance and management of Barloworld Equipment's motor vehicle

• Supervise and co-ordinate works with contractors.

• Ensure all suppliers adhere to company policies while on site.

• Submit weekly building inspection reports

• Oversee monthly inspection of portable electrical equipment, kitchen areas, ablution facilities, fire detection/equipment and other (as required)

• Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance and liaise with Landlord where applicable

• Plan, guide and supervise all gardening maintenance and improvements

• Capture monthly water and electricity meter reading

• SLA/KPI management for Soft and Hard services

• Responsible for drafting scope of work for Facilities related RFQ/RFPs as per Procurement procedures

Financial Management:

• Draft maintenance plan with costing

• Analyse quotes received from contractors for cost optimisation

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Matric with Facilities Diploma/Degree or relevant Diploma/Degree
• Three to Five years' experience in Facilities Management would be advantageous
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft office is essential
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Sound Business and financial acumen
• Ability to manage employees (supervisory experience)
