Facilities Property Manager
Job Description
A property development and management group have an opportunity for a Facilities Property Manager. The Facilities Property Manager oversees building operations, maintenance, safety, and efficiency, handling everything from routine repairs and vendor management to strategic planning, budgeting, and tenant relations to ensure functional, compliant, and cost-effective properties that support organizational goals and occupant well-being. Key duties include managing maintenance (hard/soft services), supervising staff, ensuring health/safety compliance, controlling budgets, coordinating projects (refurbishments), and maintaining tenant satisfaction and property value.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance:
Plan and execute preventative maintenance, manage repairs, oversee cleaning, landscaping, and security, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets, control costs, manage vendor contracts, and oversee capital projects.Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
Ensure a safe workplace, manage risks, oversee compliance with regulations, and promote sustainability.Tenant/Occupant Relations:
Serve as a liaison with tenants, address concerns, and ensure spaces meet user needs.Strategic Planning:
Contribute to long-term facility strategies, space planning, and workplace design to support business objectives.Vendor & Project Management:
Select, manage, and monitor third-party contractors and oversee refurbishment or construction projects.Essential Skills
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Business acumen, financial management, and problem-solving. Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and leadership. A minimum of 2 years' experience crucial for the role
Typical Duties in Practice
Conducting safety inspections and facility audits. Managing cleaning schedules and supplies. Coordinating plumber, electrician, or handyman services. Handling tenant requests and queries. Managing budgets for utilities, supplies, and outsourced services.
