Purpose of the Job

  • To manage the facilities of the DC and to ensure compliance with the OSH Act. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all facilities in the DC domain for the Campus as well as proactively managing ad-hoc projects related to Facilities Management
  • Support and oversee the repair and preventative maintenance of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic installations
  • Ensure full compliance to ASIB standards and valid ASIB compliance certificate across all sites.
  • Compile and implement industry best practice maintenance SOPxe2x80x99s across all sites.
  • Negotiate and review maintenance agreements and SLAxe2x80x99s with vendors.
  • Ensure compliance to maintenance agreements on Retail logistics Fund (RLF) owned sites.
  • Ensure compliance to maintenance agreements on other Triple Net leased sites.
  • Support sites with maintenance planning, scheduling (weekly, monthly and annually).
  • Business Continuity Plan Management.
  • Critical incident management xe2x80x93 mechanical/electrical breakdowns that result in DC downtime.
  • Minor construction project management.
  • Periodic audits of the DC facility. Overall quality control of interior and exterior finishes (Professional appearance of offices and warehouse).
  • Health and safety compliance of contractors, facilities and equipment and coordination of training.
  • Internal customer relationship management.
  • Organize and chair weekly update and monthly review meetings.
  • Report monthly to the Inland Supply Chain Team and National Supply Chain Support Team on Facilities maintenance status, critical repair/maintenance items and maintenance budget spend.
  • Oversee the pest control management programme for the site
  • Drive and champion sustainability initiatives for the DC

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or BTech in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial).



Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Facilities Management
Experience in Facilities management of large-scale Distribution Centres will be advantageous.



Knowledge and Skills
  • Working knowledge of facilities maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Thorough understanding of Civil, Structural, mechanical, Electrical and Electronic installations.
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Familiar with OSH Act regulations.
  • Very strong technical aptitude.
  • Focused on detail.
  • Excellent administration skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Good Communicator.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong ability to prepare technical documents and reports.
  • Ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in building construction and maintenance work
  • Understanding of available technologies and management systems for facilities
