SSK currently has the following career opportunity at its Property Maintenance department in Swellendam. We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Assistant to strengthen our Property Management team. This role requires excellent manual dexterity and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate must have strong problem-solving skills and always follow safety protocols, as well as be able to identify risks. The candidate will report to the Property Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Daily inspection of buildings and facilities.
- Repairing broken equipment, lights, doors, windows, etc.
- Coordinating with external contractors for major repairs.
- Emergency response to maintenance requests from tenants or staff.
- Report on maintenance tasks and make recommendations for improvements.
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- 25 years of experience in Property Maintenance or a similar role.
- Technical training or experience in electrical work, plumbing, construction, carpentry, painting, or general maintenance is an advantage.
- A valid Driver's License (Code 8 or 10) is essential.
- Knowledge of transportable tools and the ability to use equipment safely.
