Job Description

Purpose:
To oversee the processing of plastics in an efficient and cost effective manner by co-ordinating the required resources and to ensure the accurate loading of processed stock.

Key duties:

Effective management of the extrusion processing department Plan, implement, measure and control production targets. Ensure breakdowns and maintenance requirements are communicated Co-ordinate with the stores department to ensure that the minimum quantities of spares and end consumables are in stock. Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting on tne overall performance of the department. Maintain a work environment that complies with the safety, health, environment and quality requirements. Ensure that production quality meets the desired standards. Ensure that all other department in the facility are operating effectively. Troubleshoot, report and resolve any stoppages in the plant.
Minimum requirements:

Matric/Grade 12 At least 5 years experience supervising a medium or large production plant, including supervising a team. Valid drivers license
Competencies

Ability to be proactive and allocate resources to attain production targets. Ability to motivate and supervisor a team of employees. Basic IR and conflict resolution experience Willing to work night shift.
