External Sales Representative

Job Description
Minimum education: Matric
Minimum experience: 3 years sales experience within the board and timber industry
Areas of responsibility: mainly Gauteng and the North West
Duties and Requirements includes but is not limited to the following:
- Call / visit customers according to own schedule
- Promote new products to customers
- Keep customers informed of prices
- Deal with customer and handle all queries
- Check stock availability before placing order
- Send out quotations timeously
- Phone in orders timeously and liaise with despatch for delivery
- Ensure orders are delivered according to customers specifications
- Keep customer price cards up to date
- Compile and keep price lists
- Liaise with debtors and admin department on outstanding accounts
- Collect CODs and outstanding payments on slow accounts as directed by debtors department
- Assist with quarterly stock take
- Complete call sheets, accurately on a daily basis with as much information as possible
- Source new business and accounts
- Keep up to date on competitor information (including knowledge on competitor prices) and report this information and knowledge to Sales Director
