Travel into Africa & where needed anywhere for 1 to 2 weeks per month
Assisting the internal sales staff whilst learning the systems as well as BMG products when not travelling
Comply with order processing guidelines whilst negotiating time frames & pricing with the client
Check that accounts are financially up to date, highlighting money outstanding & leveraging established connection to assist with outstanding claims or issues
Plan & execute trips into Africa, mainly but not limited to Zimbabwe, the DRC, Malawi, Angola & Tanzania
Plan approach to achieving allocated targets every quarter, using knowledge of market dynamics & understanding of clients to adapt sales strategy
Identify opportunities to sell onto existing clients, involve the relevant internal people to secure a deal which achieves targeted returns
Have insights & knowledge or export processes as well as INCO2020 terms
Entertain clients, using insight of company culture to engage positively with clients in an informal context
Submit proposals, within agreed time frames, presenting a professional image of the company
Consulting with the relevant technical people at BMG head office in the various divisions to visit customers and organizing whatever is required to ensure customers' requirements are met
Ensure that the required information on the CRM system is always up to date
Check on & update commercial & service agreements
Work closely with the BMG e-commerce team to onboard as many customers as possible to the e-commerce platform
Review and work with the Sales Manager to ensure contract pricing is up to date & accurate
Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Relevant sales qualification
Ability to speak French or Portuguese would be highly advantageous
5 - 10 years' experience in sales, consumables, engineering, mining & agricultural field
Knowledge on ESG/BMG products
Valid driver's license
Willing to travel a minimum of 1 week per month
