Our client, a leading food ingredient and process raw material supplier currently looking for an External Sales Consultant based at their head office to join their dynamic team.

As an External Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by cultivating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will play a key role in promoting our products, meeting sales targets, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation

This role is highly interactive and distinguishes itself from typical sales positions as you will be in control of the full sales cycle.

You will be responsible for identifying clients and products, conducting sales visits and getting involved in production trials. The role involves actively participating in providing samples to clients, obtaining product approvals, navigating through the entire quoting and costing process, and coordinating with the logistics department.

Responsibilities:

• General Sales & Marketing Duties.
• General Customer Service Duties.
• Build and maintain sound relationships with customers, suppliers, vendors, and business partners.
• Grow current business with existing customers.
• Obtain and develop new prospective customers.
• Accurate reporting and compilation of market information.
• Competently calculate cost and sales prices for products.
• Develop annual sales budgets (in conjunction with Sales Manager).
• Provide technical support during lab-scale tests and productions trails.
• Meet and exceed sales targets through effective sales strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful project delivery.

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Formal training in food science, technology and/or chemical field.
• Any formal sales & marketing related skills.
• Bilingual English & Afrikaans advantageous.
• Proven experience as an External Sales Consultant or similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Valid driver''s license and own transportation.

• Remuneration: R 20 000 R 35 000 CTC per month (depending on skills & experience).
• The above remuneration includes basic salary, travel allowance & medical aid (Discovery).
• Company cell phone, laptop and petrol card will be provided.
• Annual sales performance-based incentives over and above the monthly package indicated.
