The overall objective of the External Communication Specialist role is to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive external communication strategies and campaigns that enhance ADvTECH's corporate reputation, align with sustainability goals, and support the organisation's strategic objectives. This includes managing PR campaigns, crisis communication, and website content, while collaborating with the marketing department and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging across all external channels.
Strategic communication for the delivery at this job level
Adapt the corporate message map for various external communication materials.
Develop, create, and implement appropriate material across multiple projects aligned with external and internal communication objectives.
Ensure external communication materials reflect corporate values, enhancing trust and alignment with corporate goals.
Liaise with the International Marketing Manager to embed values in organisational culture through external communication efforts.
Provide messaging tools linked to the values communication toolkit.
Showcase values integration through external communication narratives and presentations.
Participate in the design and delivery of change communication within a change management process.
Identify potential areas of concern and assist in developing communication that will positively address the necessity of change.
Follow international best practices.
Stakeholder engagement, relations and reporting
Ensure all stakeholders receive the correct level of communication via the ideal channels.
Create engaging content that is relevant to stakeholders to enhance their experience with the brand.
Assist departments with integrating the communication framework into their workstreams.
Assist departments with communication processes to ensure mutual understanding of stakeholder processes and policies.
Consolidate stakeholder engagement content for inclusion in the report suite (Stakeholder Relations, Media, and Reputation Management Reports).Measure and report on the progress, success, and return on investment of all communication campaigns
External corporate communication
Implement comprehensive strategic communication campaigns and project initiatives.
Develop content plans in accordance with internal and external communication plans that are on brand and topic.
Ensure the high quality and delivery of all external copy.
Collaborate and liaise with team members to ensure that all campaign elements are designed, developed, and quality-assured.
Lead the development of external communications focused on storytelling and campaigns, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and demonstrating ADvTECH's value and impact.
Develop and integrate sustainability narratives into external communication reports.
Ensure all external-facing materials align with the enhanced reporting framework.
Liaise and manage the soliciting of content, design elements, copywriting, proofreading, and preparation of campaign elements with relevant parties.
Manage website content and planning in collaboration with the Communications Coordinator (Channels).
Collaborate with the marketing department and the ADvTECH International Marketing Manager.
Plan and execute PR campaigns, averaging six campaigns per month.
Manage reputation and crisis communication, including preparing external communication addressing reputational risks and compiling risk assessment data.
Align crisis communication with strategic messaging and deliver external-specific crisis templates tailored to scenarios.Maintain and organize the messaging library for regular updates.

nternal corporate communication
Implement comprehensive communication campaigns and project initiatives.
Develop content plans following the internal and external communication plans on the brand and topic.
Write copy informed by and aligned to the message map relevant to the business unit.
Manage communication channels and assist when colleagues are on leave.
Ensure proficiency in each platform's internal communication channels and content distribution.
Ensure corporate identity compliance across all internal channels.
Implement effective communication tools to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.
Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) including Corporate Social Investment (CSI)
Develop an understanding of ESG and the content that should be reported.
Ensure that all data and information required for reporting is sourced and analysed, and that feedback is recorded regularly.
Develop and integrate sustainability narratives into external communication reports
Ensure alignment of external-facing messages with sustainability goals and campaign objectives.
Adapt storytelling content for external communication narratives, ensuring relevance and impact.Adapt educational content to align with external communication priorities and demonstrate measurable outcomes
Research and analysis
Conduct analysis and research for each campaign.
Conduct research and/or data analysis and prepare reports accordingly.
Develop research briefing documents, review data and findings, and prepare feedback on market intelligence and competitor analysis.
Deliver analytics on external stakeholder perception of ADvTECH's market position.
Annual Financial Year End and Interim Results
Collaborate and participate in the preparation of the Annual Financial Year End and Interim results.
Gather information, review, research, create content, and proof materials related to financial results.
Ensure that financial communication aligns with overall corporate messaging and objectives.
Financial management
Fulfil all tasks within the allocated and approved budget parameters.
Follow internal processes set by the finance department and in line with supply chain practices and procurement.
