About the Role

We are seeking a highly competent and motivated

Accountant

with strong technical knowledge and practical experience in financial reporting,

independent reviews

compilations

. The successful candidate will demonstrate solid analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting standards, and proficiency in

Pastel

and

Draftworx

.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

annual financial statements

in compliance with IFRS for SMEs or applicable accounting frameworks. Perform

independent reviews

and

compilations

for various entities. Process and reconcile accounts (general ledger, debtors, creditors, and bank). Manage VAT, PAYE, and other SARS-related submissions and reconciliations. Assist with management reports, budgets, and cash flow projections. Handle tax computations and liaise with SARS when required. Maintain accurate working papers and supporting documentation for all clients. Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Minimum Requirements

Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles

a must. Minimum of

2 years post-articles experience

in an accounting or audit environment. Strong working knowledge of

Pastel Accounting

and

Draft Worx

. Experience in drafting and compiling

Independent reviews, Compilations

, and general financial reporting. Strong technical understanding of accounting principles and relevant legislation. Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.

Advantageous

Experience in dealing with

SARS Objections, Appeals, and ADR

processes. Experience working with multiple client portfolios or industries.
