Role Purpose

Provide the strategic direction to the businessxe2x80x99 retailisation initiatives aligned with the Momentum Corporate business growth objectives. The aim is to manage Member Solutions as a distribution channel for all member solution strategies. The focus is to continuously ensure we are recognised as the preferred Retirement Benefit Counseling provider with a strong Employee Financial Wellness value proposition.
Requirements

  • Post graduate degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science or related field
  • Sound experience of member solutions/ retailisation in an Insurance business
  • In-depth understanding of Employee benefits
  • Track record and solid experience in a retail/ employee benefits sales environment
  • 5+ years leadership experience on a senior level
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the implementation of the Member solutions strategy aligned to business outcomes.
  • Build an unrivaled member education and engagement business.
  • Provide Retirement benefit counseling to members as required by Retirement Legislation.
  • Lead the development of innovative member engagement strategies to deliver products and solutions to members.
  • Deliver Employee financial wellness services through an onsite employee education and financial assistance capability.
  • Drive and operationalise the roll-out of all digital member tools such as Smart Move, Smart Retirement and Smart Financial Needs Analysis in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Drive and implement Pension Backed Home Loans and growth initiatives for members.
  • Lead innovation in the area to solve for member needs aligned with the strategy of the business.
  • Strengthen and diversify the distribution capability for the purpose of retailisation.
  • Drive the sales and distribution of solutions to members to deliver on strategic growth targets.
  • Establish and implement intermediary value proposition to better enable market access and growth.
  • Influence effective collaboration across complex organisations (Metropolitan Retail, Momentum Retail, Momentum Corporate and related enabling functions)
  • Develop and drive the implementation of future-proof strategy focused on new markets, specifically with the aim of leveraging the current member market.
  • Develop and implement tactics to optimise existing member solutions and grow our market share.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage off strategic relationships and alliances to build new channel, distribution or growth opportunities in partnership with key stakeholders and Product Portfolio business owners.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and competitor landscape in order to inform the development of strategies and tactics that grow and protect our market share.
  • Foster effective working relationships and collaborate within the business, client segments and external stakeholders in order to anticipate, meet and exceed client needs.
  • Driving flows into Momentum Corporatexe2x80x99s offerings for members such as preservation and annuity solutions.
  • Drive growth of the pension backed home-loans solution.
  • Drive wholesale customer acquisition and cross-sell of non-corporate propositions through collaboration.
  • Ensures that targets for new business for B2C propositions are met and that the unit achieves its profitability and growth objectives.

  • Manage high risk and problematic financial issues in area of accountability and contribute to the development of policy.
  • Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
  • Implement and manage financial risk methodologies, techniques and systems and use to monitor and report on financial activities.
  • Implement risk management, governance and compliance policies in own practice area, to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability.
