EXECUTIVE HEAD - INDEPENDENT SCHOOL (NORTH OF PRETORIA)

An esteemed independent school in the north of Pretoria is seeking a highly experienced and driven Executive Head to oversee all aspects of the school's operations. This role requires a visionary leader who can balance academic excellence, business strategy, and people leadership to ensure the continued success of the school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic Leadership & School Development

• Drive the academic and operational excellence of the Pre-Primary, Primary, and High School.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with the school's vision and National Senior Certificate (NSC) / CAPS curriculum.
• Ensure the school's reputation remains one of prestige and academic excellence.

2. Financial & Business Management

• Prepare and manage business plans, financial reports, and forecasts.
• Ensure revenue growth, cost management, and that learner enrolment targets are met.
• Maintain a strong commercial focus while upholding the educational values of the institution.

3. Academic & Curriculum Oversight

• Ensure curriculum delivery aligns with CAPS and supports holistic student development.
• Oversee teacher development, training, and performance management.
• Implement academic enrichment programs to enhance student success.

4. People & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and manage educators, administrative staff, and learners.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
• Build and maintain relationships with parents, governing bodies, and external stakeholders.

5. Operational & Facilities Management

• Oversee the efficient management of school facilities and resources.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Continuously improve infrastructure, technology, and operational efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:
? Honours Degree in Education or a related field
? Minimum of 8 years' experience in an educational leadership role, with at least 5 years as Head of an institution
? Strong knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and the NSC assessment framework
? Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop staff
? Experience in business development and financial management
? Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? A passion for education and student success
? SACE registration (mandatory)
? Clear criminal record
