Our client is seeking a hands-on culinary leader to manage their clubhouse restaurant and bar, delivering casual yet well-executed dining to members, guests, and event attendees. Description
As Executive Chef, you will oversee the full kitchen operation of this busy golf club venue, which caters to 200-300 covers per day on average. The offering includes a clubhouse restaurant and bar as well as catering for golf events, private functions, and corporate bookings.
You will be responsible for:

• Designing and executing a casual dining menu to high standards
• Managing a team of kitchen staff across multiple service areas
• Ensuring consistency in plating, presentation, and taste
• Maintaining food safety, kitchen hygiene, stock control, and systems
• Working flexible hours to cover weekends, functions, and peak days

Salary: R40,000 - R45,000 per month (dependent on experience)
Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience as Head or Executive Chef in a similar high-volume, casual dining or golf club environment
• Strong kitchen management and systems experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively
• Excellent plating and presentation skills
• Hands-on, calm under pressure, and solutions-oriented
• Based in Cape Town, with own reliable transport
• Able to commute easily to the Southern Suburbs
• Willingness to work weekends and adjust to operational needs
• Excellent, contactable references required
