Executive: Assets and Operations Durban KZN Property / Facilities Management / Security
Durban North Coast, Durban - KwaZulu Natal
5 Year Contract Position

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our organisation is seeking a strategic leader to oversee our Assets and Operations division. This executive role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for providing strategic leadership in operations, service delivery, and the management of our asset portfolio in a cost-efficient and optimal manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operations Management: Direct facilities maintenance, energy and utilities functions, security services, and operational aspects of the organisations properties while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
• Asset Management: Lead the asset management value chain, oversee lifecycle management of assets, and collaborate with the CFO on financial and technical treatment of assets
• Strategic Leadership: Develop strategic plans, implement relevant policies, and maintain strategic alliances with external stakeholders including municipalities and regulatory bodies.
• Financial Management: Oversee division budgets, procurement plans, contract management, and ensure cost efficiency in operations
• People Management: Lead and develop division staff, conduct performance management, and foster a culture aligned with the organisations values

REQUIREMENTS

• Honours Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Master's Degree advantageous)
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng)
• 10 years' relevant experience with at least 4 years in a Senior Management role
• Experience in property and business management for large-scale, multi-purpose developments
• Strong customer service orientation
• Code EB Driver's License
• Knowledge of PFMA and OHSA regulations
• Excellent systems thinking, strategic planning, and contract management skills
• Computer literacy and technical report writing proficiency
