Job Summary Events Coordinator CECO is a unit created by Stellenbosch University. This unit sits outside the traditional University framework in a spin out company, Factory 209 (Pty) Ltd, which is 100% owned by SU. This exciting new unit is looking for dynamic new talent to further grow the business in 2025 and beyond. Manage the sales, strategic planning and administration of CECO Venue Rental Division events and activities, including but not limited to Stellenbosch University Internal activity, facility rental, professional and federations. Contribute to the sales team promotional activity plan and share in the responsibility for achieving revenue targets. Key Responsibilities: Drive sales and manage venue rental bookings Plan and execute diverse events (academic, arts, entertainment, MICE) Maintain accurate event data and reports Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal SU stakeholders Ensure event compliance, budgeting, staffing, and invoicing Support promotional activities and sales targets Minimum Requirements: Diploma or degree in Events Management (or related field) 2-4 years' event coordination experience Own reliable vehicle & valid Code 8 license Strong admin, planning & customer service skills Sound knowledge of event regulations (SASREA, SANS 2020, SU & municipal standards) Ideal Candidate: Detail-oriented, innovative, thrives under pressure, and excels in communication and multitasking.
