Events Co-Ordinator - Social Media - Global Brand - Cape TownIncredible opportunity to work with a truely global brand in the Hospitality Industry!Title: Events Co-ordinatorReporting to: Marketing ManagerAbout the roleProficient in Google SuiteStrong on Social Media across all platformsRunning hospitality eventsThe Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing a global culinary and consumer experience, both in the daily operations of the company and by the planning and execution of live events. The Event Manager will work closely with the Cape Town team and teams across the globe to ensure the Company is in alignment with brand goals and event executionKey ResponsibilitiesCreate event proposals, covering timelines, production costs, potential vendors, staffing needs, and budget parametersCreate and manage monthly entertainment and event budgets that drive revenue and ensure maximum guest and property benefitManage The company Cape Town event scheduleManage daily, weekly, and monthly entertainment as defined and developed with property GM and the company Digital editorManage day-of responsibilities for The company Cape Town events, including logistics, collateral production, layout/flow, contact lists, and other materials as neededAccommodate and anticipate guest needsHire, train, and supervise event personnel, delegating responsibilities as needed to ensure event successOperate with an open-door policy, listen to and understand requests of the team and our guests, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate informationManage wrap-up event needs, including analyzing event performance, surveying customers on their experience, and ensuring all invoices are submitted for paymentEvaluate annual local events and determine The company Companyxe2x80x99s participation and cost benefitsSkills & Experience3-5 years in a similar role required, preferably within the hospitality industryProficient in Windows MS OfficeProficient in Google SuiteDemonstrated experience managing budgets, event staff, clients and relevant stakeholdersPrevious experience in event planning and sponsorship activation requiredAbility to work nights/weekends as essentialAbility to work as a team, stay organized, handle various projects at one time, lead others, delegateAbility to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the publicAbility to speak to guests fluently regarding the food, beverage, and overall conceptAbility to demonstrate and impose upon service staff the ability to service guests with the utmost care, service and excellence, utilizing the highest standards of service techniquesAbility to take action based on previous experience, follow up and make accurate and sound decisionsInteract with all department personnel, Company and vendor staff as neededMaintain positive and professional relations with vendorsMonitor guest satisfaction on all levelsTake ownership of event booking manage platformStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feetAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityAbility to write reports, business correspondence and procedure documents for event related activitiesAbility to demonstrate a positive attitude always; as well as keep an open and objective viewWhat we are looking for in a candidate:Be commercially astuteEither have experience at or want to dive headfirst into a fast-paced transformative company in pursuit of excellenceThink globallyHave excellent communication and relationship building skillsHave a high sense of ownership, urgency and driveBe a team player
