Job Description
Interpret client requirements, terms & conditions, and technical specifications related to fabrication and maintenance tenders
Prepare and compile accurate, professional tender documentation
Estimate labour, materials, and resource requirements in line with project scope
Conduct site inspections to gather necessary inputs for costing
Follow up on submitted quotations and respond to client feedback or clarification requests
Assist with general estimating administration and maintaining documentation for audit and reference
Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in estimating within a fabrication, maintenance, or industrial services environment
Familiarity with facilities, operational rates, and procedures relevant to large-scale infrastructure or technical service projects (advantageous)
Proficient in REFMAN software (essential)
Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Able to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
Qualifications
National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (preferred)
Proven background in tender preparation and project costing
Valid drivers license
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
