If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for numbers, and a background in the construction industry, this is your chance to play a pivotal role in shaping their projects' success.Your Role on their Blueprint:Estimation: Channel your construction experience into estimating project costs accurately. You will work closely with their senior estimators to master the art of assessing materials, labour, and time requirements.Precision Engineer: Attention to detail is your superpower. You will break down construction plans into measurable components, crafting estimates that leave no margin for error.Industry Alchemist: Your background in construction provides the foundation for understanding project requirements, allowing you to transform them into numbers that make sense.Collaboration Conductor: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure estimates align with project scope and objectives. Your clear communication skills will be key to harmonizing these efforts.Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and related documents to derive accurate cost estimates.Collaborate with various departments to gather input and insights to refine estimates.Utilize construction industry software and tools to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.Assist in preparing and submitting comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.Keep up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and labour costs to ensure accurate estimations.Support senior estimators in reviewing and refining processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Qualifications and Skills:UK Experience essentialA qualified individual with a formal qualification in either Building Science, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a similar fieldMinimum of 5 years' experience in construction and civil estimating.Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)A strong understanding of alternative building solutions would be advantageousSolid understanding of construction processes, materials, and terminology.Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.Attention to detail that is second nature to you.Logical thinker and exceptional problem solverStrong analytical and mathematical skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Time management skills to meet project deadlines.PackageR20 000- 25K per month (depending on experience)Work from home full time (in SA)20 days holidays plus bank holidaysJob Type: Full-timeSalary: R20,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
