Minimum requirements:

• Matric with mathematics
• Computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe PDF
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Knowledge of tender documents
• Understanding of building plans
• Experience in the construction industry with knowledge of measurements and projects
• Ability to understand and simplify technical and complex information
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Able to think proactively and meet deadlines
• Able and willing to work with difficult clients when necessary
• Relevant qualifications beneficial
• Neat, pleasant and energetic personality

Duties will include:

• Research costs of materials, transport, labour and equipment
• Build lasting relationships with clients and suppliers
• Obtain tender documents from clients in a certain time frame
• Obtain quotations from suppliers in a certain time frame
• Prepare and submit detailed quotations and tenders
• Monitor costs of materials, labour, and equipment during phases of projects to ensure that costs adhere to the budget
• Assist the Project Manager with presentations and tracking costs
• Calculate the budget or estimations for projects
• Liaise with Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Contractors
• Read and interpret building plans and tender documents

Working hours:

Monday to Friday: 07:15 - 16:00

• Every second Friday from 07:15 - 14:30
