Investigations into accidents, incidents and near-misses, which will include corrective actions and preventative measures, should be needed
Maintain and improve upon Disabling Free man hours status and Non Disabling free man hour status
Champion all investigations into accidents, incidents and near-miss incidents
Ensuring of compiling reports regarding the weekly, monthly and quarterly accident information
Ensure ongoing organizational certification with ISO 14001 (environmental management system requirements)
Ensure ongoing organizational compliance with OHSAS 18001 (health & safety management system requirements)
Write Procedures; Work Instructions; Safe Work Manuals; and other documentation in support of the ESH Management System
Issue corrective action reports for incidents; near-misses; system non-conformances
Highlight opportunities for improvement
Drive the programme for the annual Internal Audit Programme
Communicate audit findings & schedule follow-up audits to ensure findings are closed out within defined audit period
Communicate audit and investigation findings in an accurate, detailed and timely fashion
Schedule follow-up audits to ensure findings are closed out withing the defined time period
Establish & implement action plans from findings raised during OHS Act Surveys by Occupational / Industrial Hygienists
Sourcing quotations and placing orders onto the system for the different surveys to be conducted
Safety, Security, Health and Environmental related topics full
Running Monthly Competitions, monthly Newsletters, Weekly Accident Reporting, etc.
Attending MDT 2 and MDT 1 Meetings where awareness is brought to employees attention
Scheduling and typing of minutes to the monthly ESH Committee Meetings
Bringing forward continual improvement in the Risks in the different areas (safety, health and environmental related)
Qualifications
Qualification in Safety or Environmental Management
Qualified Auditor for ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Management Systems
Qualified Risk Assessor
Must have 3 - 5 years experience in health, safety and environmental disciplines
