Environmental Scientist Intern, Durban
SRK's Durban Office is offering a 12-month internship to a successful candidate with a relevant degree and an interest in pursuing a career in the Environmental field. Remuneration is commensurate with an Intern position. The successful candidate will report to Senior Management in the Business Unit.
POSITION INFO:
Experience and Skills:
The candidate must:

• Have a bachelor's degree in environmental science, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Economics or Environmental

. * Be a Candidate EAP.

• Demonstrate proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Have a desire for learning and professional growth.
• Be willing to work across disciplines and developing a diverse skill set.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support where required.
• Be resourceful, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Have some knowledge of environmental legislation.
• Demonstrate strong scientific reporting, research, and data analysis skills.
• Possess a background or keen interest in environmental management, biodiversity, climate change and atmospheric sciences.
• Proficiency in additional local languages i.e. Zulu.

Applicants must be South African citizens, have a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel. Candidates based in Durban will be given preference. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
