Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Identify, prevent and report risks ensuring patient safety.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
- Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
- Oversee day shift of four carers while reporting to Nursing Sister.REQUIRED EDUCATION: Enrolled Nurse Certificate and proof of SANC registration.DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years post qualification experience; experience with disabled
residents advantageous.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic life support trained
- Infection prevention and control
- Pharmacology
- Scientific nursing principles and process
- Patient assessment skills
- Nursing processes and procedures
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Relevant nursing legislation
- Nursing care plan skills
- Risk identification
