The candidate:

• Fairmont High School is seeking the service of a suitably qualified, experienced and passionate English Home Language educator (Grade 8 -12) to start on 1 January 2024. Recently qualified educators are welcome to apply.

Requirements:

• University graduate with a teaching qualification to Grade 12 level (post graduate studies in a related field is an advantage).
• Proven record of teaching excellence and use of effective, innovative teaching strategies. This includes the use of computer technology within the classroom, particularly the Google Suite (Classroom, Forms, Sheets and Slides).
• Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning and personal professional development.
• Active involvement in the school extra-mural programme with high awareness of and commitment to the holistic development of learners.
• Commitment to and embodiment of the schoolxe2x80x99s core values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence.

The following would be advantageous:

• At least 2 years' recent experience of teaching English HL up to Matric level.
• Highly regarded subject expert with experience of marking NSC English Home Language papers (favourable).
