Job Description

Overall Responsibility:

The key purpose of this role is to ensure accurate and efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and control of materials, tools, lubricants, spare parts, and consumables while utilizing the manufacturing tools such 5S to ensure that stock levels are maintained, properly stored and Comply with Safety, hygiene and other regulatory standards for Food Manufacturing.

Focus Area 1

Productivity

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock in the engineering stores Ensures that appropriate handling devices and safe working conditions prevail at the stores Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels (min/max). Conduct cycle counts and support annual inventory audits Accurately issue stock against job cards, requisitions, or work orders Ensure items are correctly stored, labelled, and segregated Ensures that material records in place and Complies with the legislation Manage and track returns, damaged goods Periodically review stock levels to ensure that stock levels are in line with operational requirements Comply with laid down safety standards and statutory requirements Follow all site safety rules and report hazards or non-compliances

Ensure Safety is top priority Follow all site safety rules and report hazards or non-compliances Use PPE and manual handling equipment correctly Maintain clean and organised storage areas (5S) Maintain stock registers, GRNs, delivery notes, MSDS files, and lubricant certifications Follow all site safety rules and report hazards or non-compliances Support traceability of all stock movements and documentation audits

Requirements of the Role

Matric qualification or equivalent Minimum of 1 Year of experience in a warehouse or stores environment (preferably in food or beverage manufacturing) Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Understanding of Maintenance Practices and Requirements with lubricants, spares, and tools used in manufacturing Valid forklift license Ability to work with suppliers and inhouse Customers
