A well established Wood product and casket manufacturing company based in Phoenix , Industrial Park seeks to employ the services of an Experienced , Qualified Engineering Manager/ Field Sales Representative;

Job description , Roles and Responsibilities;



Design, implement, and refining product development, testing, and manufacturing processes. Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel. Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes. Oversees project logistics and resource allocation. Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste. Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments. Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies. Attends trade shows and conferences and makes site visits to suppliers' facilities (As and when required). Advocates on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success. Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders including potential customers. Maintains high level of expertise. Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines. Liaise and coordinate with other supervisors/departments to achieve production deadlines and maintain good production flow between departments timeously. Maintains relationships with suppliers and customers. Supervise, lead and manage engineering team to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and timelines. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster their professional growth. Identify and mitigate project risks and communicate status updates to management. Manage resource allocation and budgeting to ensure optimal use of resources. Continuously evaluate and improve team performance through regular feedback and performance reviews. Proposing and managing budgets for projects. Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time. Researching and developing new designs and products improving and enhancing innovation, new development and expansion in product offering. Determining the need for training and talent development. Ensuring products have the support of upper management. Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams. Evaluate and identify skills gaps of employees in the department and determine the need for training and talent development. Ensure clear communication and planning with the Human Resource Department. Ensure products have the support of upper management Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams Check the team's work for technical accuracy Coordinate and delegate activities of employees within the department Review production plans and schedules on a daily and weekly basis, ensuring production plans are met timeously. Inspects finish of products and components at various stages to verify conformance to company and quality standards. Trains new employees and provides support and guidance to both new and existing employees. Plan and program sequence of tasks for the department. Control the utilization and storage of all chemicals, paints and hazardous substances prioritizing safety first and ensuring that the correct health and safety procedures are followed. Inspects and ensure all waste chemicals, paints, hazardous substances and others are disposed in the correct manner and in the relevant waste bins provided. Monitor subordinates' productivity to ensure required production targets are met on a daily basis. Ensure all planned resources are available timeously as per production plan/schedule/job card. Completing and submitting month-end stock takes timeously and accurately. Complete, signoff and submit Stock transfer sheets (stock movement) from one department to the other. Ensure all unused material requisitioned is returned to stores and a stock count is taken and recorded before returning to stores. All additional material required apart from that required for the production plan must be authorized by management. Action plans to be put in place for all incomplete work with clear reasoning. Monitor and manage safety compliance in the department. Conduct regular inspections to ensure employees are wearing the necessary PPE. Ensure Good housekeeping standards are always maintained in the department Daily maintenance, cleaning and packing of tools, chemicals, adhesives, paints, equipment and machinery. Making sure that all machines are switched off before leaving. Ensure disciplinary measures are in place for employees that transgress and fail to follow company rules, policy and procedures. Always adhering to all company policies & procedures. Assisting in other departments was necessary. To carry out any lawful legal instruction given to you by a superior. To maintain and maintain a good, healthy work environment. To follow up on discrepancies and defects identified in the department ensuring good production standards are always maintained. Monitor and check all components are cut and machined to required quality standard and specification. To be accountable for the negligence of machinery and tools. To ensure that the registers are correctly completed and submitted timeously. To ensure you are present whenever your department is working. To inform management of any deviations from the plan, timeously minimize production losses and ensure production plan is achieved. To ensure all components are engineered, fabricated and assembled to the required quality standard. To be present when the opening and closing of the department To work overtime as and when required as per operational requirements

Field Sales Representative



Cold calling to find new business and service existing business to ensure growth revenue . Expand product offerings in the market by sourcing new Clients Conduct market research and develop strategies in line with existing and new engineering work opportunities as a strategic measure for business sustainability. Creating ongoing work opportunity for the department ensuring maximum use of machinery and equipment promoting growth in revenue and profit margins.
