Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for an Engineering Manager for a permeant position based in Centurion Gauteng. The main purpose of this role is to Lead innovation and the development of intellectual property, products, and services that support the organizations growth strategies and solve customer problems. This position reports to the CTO, and has 6 direct reports.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills

xe2x97x8f Post grad Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar relevant field

xe2x97x8f 8+ years experience in engineering / product development (systems management, lab setting, not maintenance and shutdown environment)

xe2x97x8f 3+ years experience as Engineering Manager

xe2x97x8f In-depth knowledge of systems architecture, design and development

xe2x97x8f Hands-on experience with complex project management

xe2x97x8f Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

xe2x97x8f Organisational and time-management skills

xe2x97x8f Customer relationship management

xe2x97x8f Out of the box problem solver

xe2x97x8f Excellent at prioritisation

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

xe2x97x8f Implement and manage best practices for product development, specifically AS9145, in collaboration with the Quality Team;

xe2x97x8f Lead design and development projects from planning through industrialization, production, and release;

xe2x97x8f Collaborate with the CEO, sales, and marketing teams to ensure new products and services closely align with customer needs;

xe2x97x8f Ensure stakeholder involvement throughout the product development process;

xe2x97x8f Lead the engineering team in hardware and software projects for new and existing IP;

xe2x97x8f Guide and support engineers in overcoming technical challenges.

xe2x97x8f Implement and maintain thorough configuration management;

xe2x97x8f Deliver development projects on time, within specifications, and on budget;

xe2x97x8f Provide reporting metrics for the department;

xe2x97x8f Evaluate, negotiate with, appoint, and manage third-party engineering service providers;

xe2x97x8f Provide technical support to manufacturing and oversee the Production Automation System;

xe2x97x8f Oversee technical support services to customers and channel partners;

xe2x97x8f Oversee engineering change management processes within in the QMS;

xe2x97x8f Support technical sales and marketing collateral;

xe2x97x8f Lead certifications and compliances as required by the market and customers;

xe2x97x8f Stay informed about the competitive and market landscape, expansion opportunities, and industry developments;

xe2x97x8f Support the filing of patents to enhance shareholder value and protect intellectual property in alignment with the strategy;

xe2x97x8f Mentor, coach and develop a high-performing team of engineers;

xe2x97x8f Inspire, encourage and cultivate a culture that supports the business vision and strategy;

xe2x97x8f Continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems within the engineering and development functions.
