Engineering Manager Engineering ~ Manufacturing

Join the team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This role is integral to driving product development and innovation initiatives, managing projects and resources efficiently, ensuring quality assurance and compliance, optimising cost management, and fostering stakeholder communication and relationships.

As the Engineering Manager, you will lead efforts to spearhead product innovation tailored to the mining sector, enhance equipment performance, and oversee project progress to ensure timely delivery. Your role will also involve prioritising project work, allocating resources effectively, enforcing stringent quality standards, managing budgets, and providing technical support to the sales team. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to lead innovation and excellence in engineering within a collaborative team environment.

Key Qualifications:

• National Higher Diploma T4/S4 (Mechanical/Electromechanical)
• Ideally, a BSc/Btech in Engineering (Mechanical/Electromechanical)

Minimum Experience:

• 10-15 years of workshop exposure in heavy engineering manufacturing and design
• 3-5 years of senior team management experience
• Proficiency in CAD drawing
• Advantageous to have materials processing/handling experience

Skills and Experience Required:

• Advanced computer literacy with the Microsoft Office suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong people management, communication, and feedback skills
• Diligence and organisational proficiency
• Working knowledge of CAD and FEA programs
• Ability to collaborate and compromise when necessary
• A thirst for continual learning
