The Salesforce Platform Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and sustainability of the Salesforce multi-org ecosystem. The role safeguards the platform through rigorous pull request (PR) reviews, proactive org and release maintenance, and effective adoption of DevOps practices. Beyond day-to-day operations, the engineer contributes to the bigger platform picture -- ensuring designs, releases, and solutions align with Standard Bank Group's Salesforce Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC), architectural governance, and long-term roadmap.
Qualifications
Any four of the following Salesforce Certifications; Integration Architect, Platform Developer II, Application Architect, Data Architect, Identity and Access Management Architect, JavaScript Developer I, Sharing and Visibility Architect
7-10 years' proven experience in modern engineering practices (DevOps, Agile, CI/CD). Proven experience across multiple IT engineering disciplines, with demonstrated specialization in at least one. Experience within the required Salesforce/CRM ecosystem is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with a disciplined approach to maintaining platform quality
Proven quick troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues under pressure
Solid grasp of Salesforce best practices across configuration, development, integration, and security
