WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Engineer will be responsible to design and simulate as part of the Product Development team and to support Production and Marketing. The role also includes to support Project Managers, ensuring that related development projects, contracts and programs are completed effectively and timeously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To design and simulate new products and new innovative solutions to ammunition and ballistic challenges. Compile and review product documentation, specifications and reports. Computer Aided Design and Drafting according to RDM standards. To prepare various ballistic and other simulations and develop simulation and related software. Assist during industrialization and process development. Design, procure and commission specialized development tooling. Support Marketing and Production Adhere to all health and safety requirements. Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy


WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

POST REQUIREMENTS:

BSc or BEng degree (Mechanical - preferred). At least 3 years'experience in creative technical environment. Computer simulation and modelling would be an advantage. Knowledgeable to Explosives practices, regulations and rules. Knowledge of ISO 9001/2000 and ISO 14001 and other related international standards. Good problem solving and client relationship skills Good interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills Good communication, planning and organizing skills Computer literacy (MS Office packages, 3-D design packages (Solid Edge) and programming languages eg Python, MATLAB))
