As a System Design Engineer in Training, you will help develop, and commissioning industrial control system solutions for our customers. You will collaborate with suppliers, panel shops, and internal engineering teams to build system architectures, perform testing, and support on-site commissioning. You will receive exposure to multiple control system technologies and project environments. You will work on hybrid work model based in Randburg, South Africa. You will report to the Engineering Manager.
Your Responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and define complete control system architectures, including hardware and software specifications.
• Develop conceptual hardware designs and determine control strategies aligned with safety standards and industry regulations.
• Coordinate integration of third-party hardware and systems to ensure full system interoperability.
• Prepare technical specifications, project documentation, and engineering reports.
• Support factory acceptance tests, internal testing, and customer testing activities.
• Participate in on-site system startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting

The Essentials - You Will Have

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Mechatronic Engineering
• Any experience to industrial control systems applications.
• The ability to travel (up to 50% of the time).
• A valid South African driver's licence.
• Legal right to work in South Africa - visa sponsorship is not available.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

• Any experience using Rockwell Automation hardware and software for control system design.
• Any experience managing multiple complex customer projects simultaneously.
• Any technical writing experience (specifications, test documentation, reports).
• Any experience coordinating system integration with third?party equipment suppliers.
