Minimum Requirements:
B Degree in Civil Engineering
Valid driver's licence
Computer literacy
3 years' experience in water quality and revenue management contacts
Core Responsibilities:
Manage, plan, coordinate, supervise and control metering and accounts related activities for the department
Plan, organise, control and coordinate special programs or projects
Assist and effectively resolve bulk metering or any other customers related account queries
Anticipate problems and resolve timely on order to ensure work output are achieved within agreed specified deadlines and standards.
Coordinate, prioritise, direct, control and enhance resources to produce results and meet operational objectives and goals.
Ensure SOP, processes, procedural guides and quality and service standards are developed, maintained, understood and implemented.
Ensure that operational activities related to accounts and bulk metering run effectively and efficiently
Minimize wastage through reactive, quick and permanent solutions of leaks and water spillages
Responsible for Inspection and management of water and wastewater and related issues
Establish, implement and manage operational governance and risk management processes in the context of organisational policy.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual budgets and financial reports in accordance with statutory and Council presentation requirements.
Provide feedback on governance, risk and compliance practises and escalate unresolved issues via appropriate channels for investigation and resolution and keep up to date with legislation associated with engineering activities.
Build and sustain relationships with decision makers and interested groups in support of operational objectives.
Integrate and share product, process and system knowledge attained through formal and informal learning opportunities in the execution of your role.
