Engineer (Construction) - South AfricaJob SummaryEngineerLocation: South AfricaSalary: Market Related (TFCE between R400000 and R600000)Our client in the Construction and Engineering industry is looking to employ Suitably Qualified and Experienced Engineers Foreman.Key responsibilitiesEnsuring standard procedures are adhered to and any specific client requirements are taken into account.Preparing detailed short term project schedulesFostering relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliersMaterial procurementProductivity and cost monitoringSuccessfully managing a Section or Sections of work within cost allowableEnsuring that quality of work and materials comply to specificationsProducing quality construction programmes for section/sWork to be completed within required time framesInspiring team members to achieve high levels of productionBuilding good relations with employees and relevant role playersCo-operating well with peers and subordinatesProfessional conduct at all timesProviding constructive support to company initiativesReviewing work and ensure corrective action when requiredResources to be procured correctly and on timeImplementing improvements and demonstrating initiativeConsistently complying with all company policies and proceduresEnsuring compliance to Safety, Health & Environmental RegulationsEnsuring best practices in construction methodsRequirementsBSc/B Eng./B-Tech/National Diploma in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 5 years' experience as Engineer in the Construction IndustryRegistration with ECSA and/or SACPCMP will be an advantageMust have Experience in Roads & Earthworks and Civil Infrastructure ConstructionExperience in Wind Farm Construction will be an advantageMust have a working knowledge of the OHS ACT, and Construction Regulations.Must have the Ability to read, understand and organize construction Plans and SpecificationsMinimum of 2 years' experience in taking quantities off drawings site measurement for certificate purposes.Must be able to order material required on site off the drawings.Must have a working knowledge of CCS estimating and planning modulesMust have Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, & Outlook)Specific working knowledge of COLTO specificationsKnowledge and understanding of various general conditions of contractMust be a South African CitizenMust have a valid SA passportMust have valid Driver's LicenseMust be prepared to travel and relocateStrong attention to detailStrong organizational and problem solving skillsAbility to work as part of the team, while exercising own judgmentStrong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlinesSend your CV and latest pay slip to suzette@aaaa.co.za
