The successful candidate will be instrumental in:
Mapping out the long-term engine strategy aligned with evolving car parc trends.
Driving innovation and growth within the engine product portfolio.
Identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities in the aftermarket.
Ensuring technical excellence and commercial viability across all engine-related products.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Category Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive engine strategy for the Alert business.
Align product development with future car parc trends and aftermarket demand.
Lead category planning, pricing strategy, and product lifecycle management.
Product Development & Market Expansion
Identify gaps and opportunities in the current engine product offering.
Introduce new components and technologies relevant to local and global markets.
Ensure product relevance across all vehicle ranges through car parc analysis.
Technical Expertise & Support
Apply deep knowledge of internal combustion engines and related components.
Oversee technical training and support across the organization.
Manage recurring product claims and warranty processes, escalating to suppliers as needed.
Supplier & Stock Management
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Ability to travel abroad
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and promotional activities.
Rationalize brands and manage obsolete/excess stock in collaboration with Supply Chain.
System & Data Integrity
Ensure accurate product data across systems (ELCB/D365/AUTOCAT).
Maintain correct vehicle-part linkages and part descriptions.
Monitor and maintain vendor data and system hygiene.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in the automotive industry, ideally with a manufacturing background
Proven experience in product management or category leadership
Experience in purchasing and aftermarket product management (advantageous)
Skills:
Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
Deep understanding of engine systems and aftermarket dynamics
Customer-oriented mindset with strong presentation skills
