Position Summary:

The Engagement Manager role at MagicOrange is a crucial part of our delivery and consulting organisation. Engagement Managers lead our implementations and own the project plan, scope, day to day relationship with the customer team, resourcing, and ensure we deliver the correct outcomes.



In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for our clients throughout the engagement lifecycle, translating strategic objectives into tangible project milestones. You will be responsible for aligning internal and client resources, managing expectations, and driving successful adoption of the MagicOrange platform and ITFM/TBM methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Delivery:

Own and manage end-to-end delivery of ITFM/TBM engagements across multiple clients. + Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, transparency, and alignment of expectations. Lead the development and implementation of ITFM/TBM solutions, including cost modelling, budgeting, forecasting, service costing, and chargeback/showback models.

Strategic Advisory:

Provide thought leadership on TBM best practices, cost optimization strategies, and IT value management. Translate business goals into actionable financial and operational initiatives. Facilitate workshops, executive briefings, and strategic planning sessions.

Project Management:

Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines and scope, track progress, and proactively address risks and issues. Manage team activities and oversee completion of deliverables Ensure quality assurance and timely delivery of milestones and deliverables. Change Management & Enablement: Support organizational change efforts to embed TBM capabilities and culture.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 10+ years experience in ITFM, TBM, or technology consulting with a focus on financial management and business value realization. Proven track record of managing complex client engagements and stakeholder relationships. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Strong grasp of IT cost structures (e.g., infrastructure, applications, labour), budgeting, and service costing principles.

Preferred:

Experience with SaaS, cloud cost optimization, and FinOps practices. PMP, Prince 2, ITIL, or TBM certification is a plus. Consulting background with Big 4 or niche ITFM/TBM consultancies.
