Job description

1.Design of battery systems, including in-house circuit and firmware design

2. Generate and detail technical drawings of components, assemblies, tools and jigs.

3. Design and draw layouts as per engineering and customer requirements.

4. Creation of new part, Pastel codes and bills of materials.

5. Create full data packs and works instructions.

6. Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements

7. Read & understand drawings of Projects

Production Scheduling.

Assist in building commissioning manuals, prototypes and assembly jigs. Maintain and organize controlled drawings and data as per ISO requirements. Administer engineering change proposals. Maintain the controlled approved register. Ensure that all drawings and work instructions are kept up-to-date. Ensure the quality of products and services are maintained and propose improvements to the processes where necessary. Prepare and manage picking slips, concessions and engineering change requests.

Educational Requirements.

1. Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical science.

2. B.Sc/ B. Eng/ B. Tech or Diploma in Electronic Engineering

3. Diploma or Certificate in CAD design from a certified institution.

Skills and experience

1. A minimum of 3 years 2D and 3D Turbo Cad experience required.

2. Pastel experience required.

3. Any other 3D design experience advantageous.

4. Microsoft office.

5. Battery and related chemistry knowledge highly advantageous.

6. Proven track record of drafting and detailing on projects.

7. Practical experience with electronic assembling advantageous.

8. Development experience in some of the following: Battery Management Systems; Switch Mode Power Supplies; and Battery Chemistry and Technologies

9. Adhere to all Quality Management requirements and procedures.
