Job Summary
Requirements:
Electronic and IT knowledge or experience
Electro-mechanical Trade Test (e.g. Millwright) or equivalent
PLC and programming experience will be advantageous
Technical experience with industrial electricity and IT
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
Valid driver's licence and valid/renewable passport
Willing to travel (mostly within South Africa; international travel occasionally required)
Responsibilities:
Install, train, and commission new machinery from start to finish, focusing on:
IT: Wiring connections
Electronics: Setup, testing, and training
Reduce minor stoppages and operational downtime by providing after-sales service:
Electronic & IT assistance (software, hardware, OS)
Electrical repairs
Assist packhouses with machine adjustments for sorting various fruits and vegetables:
Citrus, Avocado, Tomato, Blueberry, Cherry Apple, Stone Fruits, Mango, etc.
Handle and follow up on customer queries and complaints; provide detailed feedback to improve technical solutions
Promote a "learn from experience" culture by sharing and reapplying technical knowledge within the team
Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience
