As the Electrician SF you will provide an engineering service in the Plant. You will be required to maintain, install and commissioning of the electrical components of the machinery and equipment to an agreed standard in area of responsibility.

As an Electrician you will be accountable for but not limited to:

• Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment
• Attend and conduct Safety meeting.
• Conducts and participate in Risk assessments.
• Fault finding and attend to Breakdowns and emergencies as required.
• Comply to environmental requirements.
• Record results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
• Works in a sequence that prioritises work requirements.
• Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM's)
• Performing work to the required standards and specifications
• Applying appropriate tools to complete tasks

This role is in the Engineering Department at a C2 level reporting to the Senior Engineering Foreman

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science and a Technical N2 Trade Specific qualification
• Section 13 or 26D Electrician Trade Test Certificate
• Medium Voltage Certificate

Important: Applications without qualification related attachments will NOT be considered

To be successful, you will have the following experience:

• Completed a 2-3-year learnership programme within the mining industry.
• Three year's post trade experience within the mining industry
• Processing Plant experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of motors, VSD's, Liquid Resistance Starters, Cyclo Converters etc

Additional Information

• Basic Computer Literacy
• Valid South African Driver's license and own transport
• Must be prepared to work overtime, do standby duties and work Shutdowns when required.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• In possession of or able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness
