Job Description

A manufacturing company based in Bellville is looking for an Electrician with 3-5 years experience within an FMCG/Manufacturing Industry.

Must have:

Valid electrician license or trade certificate (Red Seal)

Minimum 3-5 years industrial electrical experience.

Flexible to work shifts, weekends, or be on-call when needed.

Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and

around machinery.

Willing to work in a fast-paced factory environment.

Good time management skills.

Reliability and a strong work ethic.

Duties includes:

Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) for production equipment and automation systems.

Configure and maintain HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems for real-time control and monitoring of manufacturing processes.

Install, program, and troubleshoot Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) / VFDs for motor control and energy efficiency.

Perform panel wiring tasks, including layout, connection, and troubleshooting of control panels.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer documentation.

Conduct fault-finding, root cause analysis, and corrective actions on electrical and automation systems.

Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety standards, local codes, and company procedures.

Maintain accurate documentation of electrical modifications, settings, and maintenance activities.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
