The company is looking for a skilled electrician with reasonable experience. The ideal person will have a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Furthermore, the ideal candidate must have an Electrician Trade Certificate.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 and Electrician trade test.
2-4 years relevant plant experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Be able to work overtime when required and standby duties
Good problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of facility layout.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure
Food Processing Hygiene Standards as contained in the Food Safety and Quality System.
Ability to utilize the DMS system.
Duties and Responsibilities
General housekeeping.
To ensure all key performance indicators is achieved as per the customer requirements.
Align and balance new equipment after installation.
Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and machinery, and equipment.
Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues as necessary.
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Maintain and repair all electrical equipment on site and off site.
Maintain and repair specialized equipment on site and off site.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, buildings electrical systems operate efficiently.
Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
Estimate repair costs.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.
Drive HACCP together with foreman or manager.
Daily/weekly inspections in different area's
Daily feedback to the electrical foreman/manage.
Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work.
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Monitor reservoir water levels.
Monitor and repair boreholes on site.
Other relevant duties assigned.
