Preference will be given to suitable candidates from local or surrounding areas.The incumbent shall be a perfect fit for this role if the incumbent has a methodological approach to work. This position also requires the successful incumbent to have physical strength, good hand-eye coordination, and endurance. A person fulfilling this position would need to be able to be able to apply themselves with initiative and self-motivation with reference to tasks presented to them. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential. Some tools and machines are computerized, requiring technical knowledge in use.Job DutiesThe job duties of an electrical supervisor vary and perform all activities inside the plant individually. The electrical supervisor would need to be able to work individually as well as with the team within Photo Voltic related plant.Maintenance, preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs.Perform all the tasks individually with proper inspection and they will be responsible for the equipment used to perform the task.Report any emergencies occurring on the plant and attend to this immediatelyPrepare the reports, keep the spare parts record and plant breakdown details and keep track of all technical documentation with them.They must follow all the safety rules according to HSES plan as well as obey all health and safety rules as set by government.Requirementsxc3x98 Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) qualified as a Millwright/Electrician is a prerequisite and non-negotiable.xc3x98 Wiremanxe2x80x99s license will be an advantagexc3x98 Must have a minimum of 4 years of post-qualified experience, must be 2 years on a PV solar plant.xc3x98 An added advantage will be given to persons who hold a N4 certificate or higher.xc3x98 Valid South African Driverxe2x80x99s license xe2x80x93 Code BMust have experience leading a Team.xc3x98 Switching experience is also a strong advantage.xc3x98 Working knowledge of electrical equipment, practices, and have knowledge of the applicable building codes, regulations or ordinances.
